As for me - ICQ is the best way to talk with person, then goes email and the last is PM on message boards.

I mostly use AIM as an answering machine, but email works just as well, if not better, since you don't have to have a special service to email someone.

I'm a semi-snail enthusiast ... uh e-mail is my fav.

I use instant messangers simply because I am forced to -- if it were up to me I'd be uninstalling em!
