I mean non adult products like art paintings etc, did you try it?
On free sites, sure ... plug away. I guess a person should try to make coin from a visitor one way or another.
On pay sites ... depends on how much you value your clients. Personally, I would not add anything aside from exactly that which they paid for ... access to porn (not porn and ads).
From the eyes of an online marketer, it is the smart thing to do. Any available space should be occupied with adverts so to try to convert your traffic to $ $ $. If they will not buy porn, how about software ... no, how about clothes ... no, how about books ... etc
From the eyes of a surfer or visitor to a site, I do not like to see the clutter and get very upset (to the point where I firewall or ban the address) especially if I just paid for something (like porn or software) and the company continues to try to soak me for all I am worth.

i think if its an adult site then the product should be something adult oriented.
but i dont agree with members area's advertising other products/sites.

I think it can be non-adult products too, for example surfers can be intrested to buy some painting with gorgeous women :wink:
