What do you think - is it popular among surfers? I think it's not very comfortable for surfer to see only one picture...

no i dont think so. and im not sure if its popular with webmasters. personally i dont like random galleries, i like to see everything before the surfer see's it.
id rather write a script with an array of galleries and link it as "random gallery of the day" or something.
