What do you think - how long does their life? I've heard that they live about 20 years less than a normal people. What do you think about it?

I was watching program on TV about shemales long time ago. There was very interesting info - they are usually all guys before. There are most part of shemales are in Tailand. The operaton to become a shemale cost only 10-30,000 US Dollars. They are ill for a long time period (about 1 year) after this operation.
It was always interesting for me why people do this?

Hmm ... I've never heard, read or seen anything about a lower mortality rate for transgender persons or 'shemales'.
Either way, I still believe the following: to each their own.
I truly do not care what others do so long the innocent do not get harmed, so have at er.

I hear yah sista. My emotions are mixed when it comes to cosmetic surgery (minor or major), because that tells me a person does not like themself and they may believe it will make them a better person (?).
I never did and still do not understand breast implants (maybe because I like em smaller/sporty), facial surgery, Botox, RussianMasks (maybe because I accepted the fact that I am getting older and death is inevitable)and yadda yadda.
