About domain names

What do you usually think when you are choosing domain name? For example - "It must be *.com, *.net, or *.org" or "It must be without dashes".

Please post what do you usually think :wink:

As for me - the domain name must be easy to remember, it mustn't contain words like yahoo, google and so on - there can be problems. I don't like dashes. As for domain zone - *.com is the best choice, but if no - I will take any other.

Actually this is main rule for me, if I see very short domain name in niche different from *.com, I will take it.
