I know that making backup is very important. It is possible that one day your hard drive can be broken and you can lost some of your important files, there can be big troubles in your business because of this. There are different ways to protect you from this:

- you can copy important files to CD-RW, flash or other types of external drives
(May be you use special programs to do that)

- you can use two or more hard drives and organize RAIN System

As for me - I have two hard drives in RAIN.

Which method do you use?

My method:
1. Weekly backup from my desktop to notebook
2. In addition sometimes I do the complete image of my system drive (with Acronis True Image)

I've heard about some programs to help make backup:

Smart Data Backuper, PowerQuest Drive Image 2002, Genie Backup Manager Pro, SyncBank.

Have you ever tried this programs? :?:

Installing and or re-installing the OS is not a problem so I concentrate mainly on making copy of all the necessary files on my system.

I have a few 120GB drive, which I use solely for storage of important files: one is for video and images while the other is for all other. I use removable drive bays and I NEVER keep the drive in my system.

As for my OS, I only back it up whenever I am installing new software or when I am using a system utility.

In my opinion, it - the best decision!

Over the years I have lost too many important files because I replied on a companies back-up software, but no more.

Hard drives are very cheap so I use them like CD-RWs :D

I use Nero BackItUp as software for backup, and copy all important files on CDRW.
Nero BackItUp is really easy to use, and to restore need files :)
