Lists sites Question

many, such as persian kitty, ask for the reciprocal link first, but then mention the fact you need to be approved. IM a little put off by putting their button on my site first, before i even know if im approved. To be honest, alot of these site seem dead as well.

Just wondering if there are any lists sites that come recommended and how to go about being listed on their site.

that's why I always do my recip manually ;)
if they don't add me within a couple of days, I remove their links. it's much safer if you contact their webmasters directly.

That's tuff to accomplish. Most list sites allow you to list their sites without you given back anything only when they are growing. Once they get popular they close that window.

For example, when I launched my community I allowed webmasters to add their link without asking anything back. Once it grew I now only allow for you to post your link, banners, site, etc on the forum of the community. No longer do I allow links on the directory.
