I think if you have much traffic the bandwith will be very fast very high. But you can do DNS Loadbalancig with Bind and take some dedicated Servers. I made very good experience with dedis from http://www.ovh.com (http://www.ovh.com/)
They are cheap customizable and they have also special offers special for streaming etc. Probably it helps.

Personally, I'm not into tube sites. In my oppinion, they're not worth it. You might get tons of traffic for it but that will only come from people who are solely interested in watching free porn. Most people ready to pay for porn wouldn't be searching for porntubes. Your bandwidth costs will rise dramatically because of the huge "useless traffic" and also your storage space requirements will increase as you need to be adding more videos dailly.

you are right, tube site eat up alot of money with little conversion
and you might get sue anytime by the sponsors
unless you upload the videos yourself and they are all legal
tube is free videos, yes?
so why do people want to buy or sign up for paysites when you provide free porn :)

You can cut bandwith by only hosting say 20 short 1-2 min sponsor clips or by using embeded sponsor vids only. You can also use plugs on your tube site which makes the site look like it is full of content. Their are certian sponsors which convert pretty well on tube sites two of which are dating and webcams. Plus you can also make money on top of your sponsers by using ppc. If you monetize you site you can make money from tube sites just like any other site. Hell with a lot of traffic you can even sell links and plug spots on tubes for stupid amounts of money. Tube sites are similar to tgp and mpg sites but on the next level if run the right way and can make money

the tube sites seam appealing, and I visit redtube now and then...but forget about the tubes...that's super expensive and some of the content producers are taking court action against people...check out tubeclicks.com that's a tubesite affiliate program that's pretty gnarly. I don't know how they make any money because they let the affiliates have their referral codes in all the banners...i don't know how long they'll be around...it's actually the affiliate program for gutter.com...best of luck to you
