Yah, Firefox ... old news, but each day I remember the little things, which make it a better browser than Unternut ExXxploited.

Things such as the funky extensions ... speaking of, my fav is ADBLOCK! Bu-bye banners and needless creatives.

And Anidisable ... yah, I get the point after the first view.

(to any person using FF without extensions ... you have no idea what your missing)

Suddenly those huge pages filled with ads are reduced down to half a page.

Life in a box has become so much better, and all :appl: to the great crew (and contributors) at Mozilla

:thankyou:

my pleasure Yahook - if a person wants to make the most of the time they spend infront of a computer, the use of the extensions will help save hours each week (just a guess).

Don't you notice that FF sometimes slower that Mozilla? Yep, FF has a lot of various extensions, but ... i prefer old Mozilla anyway, I 'll try to set up it again but i suspect it's slower

I actually find FireFox faster than either of the versions of Mozilla (1.2.1 & 1.6) as well Netscape and IE, but that maybe becasue I applied the following:

How to speed up FireFox
1.Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit enter. Scroll down and look for the following entries:

network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.

2. Alter the entries as follows:

Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"

Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"

Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.

Set "browser.turbo.enabled" - to "true"

Set "network.dns.disableIPv6 - to "true"

3. Right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

4. All done ... now go and scorch your eyeballs.
