I have had nothing but bad luck with Filezilla (2.2.7c) :? dropping connection, unable to handle large transfers, unable to connect while connected and yadda-yadda.

I was wondering what some of you use as a SFTP client. (Please note the 'S' infront of FTP)

might be time for me to drop some cash on that - I am sick and tired of failed/dropped connections.

If you have the Firefox browser, you can use FireFTP (http://fireftp.mozdev.org/) for FTP purposes. You should consider using SCP for security reasons, though.

I love Mo, but FireFTP is not SFTP capable.

I've used a few in my time, but I have been using ws_ftp pro and recently the newer version. I personally have not had issues with this one and with the importance of my link directory updates and toplist etc....its critical to not chince yourself out with a low quality ftp or unknown. Also depends on how much you intend to use it and what you are uploading too...if its the occasional upload of a few files, you don't need anything too extravagant. But on the flip side, if you have critical files and a lot of uploads to do on a regular basis, opt in for a brand name like cuteftp, ws_ftp...there are a few others as well.

Best thing to do....go to the net and look for reviews on FTP software and see what users are saying about them...good source to begin with are the big download sites like download.com or www.reviews-zdnet.com.com

Thank you joeyscc (Yahook provided me with an adequate solution - It's Cute!).

The URL to  Ziff-Davis's reviews is actually http://reviews-zdnet.com.com/ (it is a resource I commonly use).

I've spent alot of time looking for -->S<--ftp (SFTP SSH2 is a must) clients, but the results (and some recommendations) are usually programs that do not support Sftp SSH2.
