So, I'm driving in to work, stuck in traffic, same as any other day. . . And I get up to my exit off the highway. . .

Wouldn't you know it. . .my exhaust pipe breaks and starts dragging on the ground!! :x

It's a good thing I'm a MacGuyver type chick. . .I tied it up with a shoelace I found in my trunk so that I could at least get to work. I'll have to do something a little more permanent after work for the ride home. Anyone else having car problems?

Cars remind me of computers ... they suck! (Just kidding, I think.)

Mindy, I am sorry to read about the car problems, but it sounds like you took care of the nasty issue. I must say, what ingenuity ... you have awesome ‘bubble gum and paper clipping’ skills

Yes, my vroom-vroom is also sick: I went for a trip (600KM), to play disc-golf, two days ago. On the return - I stopped at a roadside store, to get a cup of coffee - my handbrake, which was on or up, decided it no longer wanted to work.
After a bit of Macguyvering, and a lot of muscle, I was able to break its grip, releasing the car, allowing me to continue.

Adding to that, last week, I took my little VW Golf TDi to see the doctor for a new exhaust and a new set of sneakers (tires).

Spending money on my car makes me :-) :-) :-)

Thanks!

I usually do most of the work on my car myself, with the help of some friends. Ie: we just swapped engines in my car when a slow oil leak suddenly turned into a big one, and I managed to poke 3 holes in my engine case. *sigh*

But she's (my car) getting better, after I fix her exhaust for real, she should be near perfect!! :-)

HAHAHA I AM TOO!!! :P When I got to work, I went to wash my hands, and noticed there was grease/oil smudged on my face too!! My jacket's got dirt on it from me having to lie down next to my car. . . :D

. . .I always was somewhat of a tomboy. . .
