I think there are some resons:

1) Webmaster looking for an answer to his question. He makes post with his question and waiting for an answer.

2) Webmaster goes to message board just to have fun, to talk with other webmasters, when his work finished - this is rest for him.

3) Webmaster wanna spam his service. He looking for topics where people ask about something and he offers his service.

4) Webmaster have succed in adult business and just want to show what he has offline (his car, home etc.). This reason is very simular to reason 2.

5) Webmaster need to contact somebody but he don't know how to contact him.

I think there can be several reasong for webmasters to go to the message board.

What do you think about it?

I say #2 is the biggest reason - the need to converse with peers.

Another you can add is to keep up with industry news and events....for those who don't go to message boards, may end up missing something very important with any changes we are seeing and will see in the future.

Like...there will soon be an .xxx TLD later this year for porn sites...or, about the changes coming for USC 2257 Compliance...lots of valuable news and insights from existing webmasters.
