Hi all. I'm affiliate manager at IA Cash. When it comes to affiliates and sponsors doing business, it's usually the affiliates who pick sponsors, based on recommendations, promotions, ads, etc. For all the affiliates out there, how do you feel about being approached by a sponsor? Do you see it as spam? Annoying? Helpful?

I don't see anything bad here, I like when good and legal sponsors spam me :)

Hi Simon!
I'm a manager of SoftwareProfit.com affiliate program, and your question is familiar to me :)
We have done a number of researches (polls, surveys, personal contacts) and made the conclusion that the bigets part of affiliates feel the same as Yahook :)
They do not mind to spam them. Most of affiliates have been spammed by large number of sponsors, and it's normal for them to get one more mail from your program :)

Hehe that's reassuring. Considering the end result is both of us make money, you would think it would be fine :D

If the sponsor spam somebody, he needs an adwerts. These sponsors are usually ready to do some custom promo materials for webmaster. For example, I need unique text descriptions for paysites

All sponsors need adwerts :)
As for my program, we always do promo and other stuff on affiliates demands, and it doesn't depend on spamming them or not.
