Optimise your free site for several unpopular keywords. It's almost impossible for the free site to be on the good position by popular keyword.

Yes, but don't take keywords like "amateur porn" and something like that. Take small keywords. It will make you change to be in top10 by this keyword.

one more (but not so important) thing - put up concrete "height" and "width" to thumbs - it makes loading of gallery much more faster...

Aree, I would say it makes it more comfortable for the eyes :)
