Do you think that using of the worlds like "forum","guestbook can decrease the positions? I think that the most part of SEs don't like these types of resources. And if you use these keywords you just help SEs to understand what's your site about.

I think the keywords that should be used are those ones which are relevant to your site's content and also those popular keywords you can dig from wordtracker. But in digging you must always see to it that you have already filtered those illegal keywords that could mean massive destruction to your rep. SEO is quite simple but a single mistake can cause some damage to your site...using misspelled keywords is sometimes more useful than using the right one since most people don't know how to spell words correctly.

Yeah. I agree with you. The database should not be congested with those misspelled stuff. It is actually Dugmor's idea. He's a genius.

I guess you need to be careful of the misspelled words tactic :) Firefox and potentially new browser versions have spellcheckers available to you as you're entering data.

If you're typing in a forum like this, firefox will show you what it thinks is misspelled.

Personally I find that if you're trying to hit a keyword, grab a page, put your keyword in the title, h1 and h2, have it within the first 100 words then try to put it at least 3 more times throughout the page.

Overstuffing doesn't provide much more in results and can obviously hurt you.

Forums don't decrease ranking and positions in search engines. I think it is helpful.

as long as this keyword is relevant to your content it wouldn't hurt your rankings at all.

Yah but word like "forum" are not going to help much either. I qould stck with words that are slightly more specific.

Yeah, I'm a spelling snob - and when writing copy I'm always distracted when I see 'Blonde' is underlined when it's the more correct spelling - at least here in the US. When I see spelling errors I automatically think that it isn't professional.

On a side note I was looking at some WEGCash (http://www.wegcash.com/?wm=dailymovie) banners the other day, and saw several (I think 'slut' was spelled 'slup'). Dang, just went looking for it again to post and can't find it - anyhow, it's there.

But back to your original question, I think you might want to consider key phrases to narrow the scope, such as 'webmaster forum' instead of just 'forum.'

I seriously hope that the word forum does not decrease rankings as my porn site is a forum LOL.
